The Johnson's Farm Blue Jay's of the Rookie 8's fought to a 3-3 tie today with Lakes Office Supply. The game started out promising for the Blue Jays from Johnson's with Zach Amisano throwing darts on the mound for the first two innings. Other than Lakes Office Supply's Tucker Byrne, who seemed to have his stroke back from last year, Amisano breezed through his two innings of work. The Jays got on the board first with three runs in the bottom of the first inning. Lakes supply fought back against the Jays bullpen, eventually tieing the game at 3 in the 4th inning. Both teams had chances to take the lead but outstanding relief pitching kept the game knotted at 3. Lakes Supply had the top of their order come to the plate in the top of the fifth but Jonathan Locantore closed the door. Unfortunately for the Jays so did Lake's Office when it came to the bottom of the fifth. Shane Moore, the power hitting second baseman for the Jays continued to play steady defense as did outfielders Jeff Amisano, Jake Serritella, Chris Bunn and Brett Brickner.
