Grit. Determination. Tough. These are just a few words that describe Saturday's win vs. a very good Tabernacle Cardinals team.

Michael was a last-minute addition to the lineup, showing his coaches that he is one of the toughest kids around. Even with one eye, Michael got a crucial walk in the 5th inning, scoring a run 3 batters later. Duncan also looked great today, getting on base two times and scoring two runs! Mike got on base twice as well. Each time he was up to bat he looked like he was swinging for the fences!

Sam was awesome at second base, turning two tough grounders into outs at first. Sam also showed great discipline at the plate and on the bases, where he looks a little like Jimmy Rollins (that boy has got wheels)! Sam also had a crucial catch in the 5th inning, with a line drive being hit right back to him at pitcher.

Brett looked like Chase Utley attempting to make a diving play at second base in the bottom of the 5th inning! His hustle play makes the whole team play harder.

The top of the order played great and knocked in runs. Combined they were 8-12 with 5 runs scored. In case you are into statistics, that is a .667 batting average! Great job Jimmy, Drew, Tyler and Jaymes!

Next up is a Monday night game, where the A's go for 3 in a row! Go A's!!!!!
