The Medford 10U District team was faced with runners on first and second, no one out and the #3 hitter up in the first inning today. It looked like a possible big inning for the Pemberton team. But a ground ball to short- started a 6-3-2 triple play. Inning over. The Medford team went to work in the bottom of the 1st, plating 5 runs and cruised to a 13-0 win.
Medford used a great team effort to beat a tough New Egypt team on Friday night 11-1 to open their District tournament.
Next up for Medford, a rematch of last year's District Championship teams. Medford vs. Sacred Heart on Monday evening, with the winner advancing to Wednesday's Championship game.
For those interested in coming to support Medford on Monday, the game is at 5:45pm at Tabernacle baseball fields on Patty Bowker Road.
