In a close game, Kids Cuts held out to defeat Archer-Greiner Law, 6-2. The Kids Cuts kids exploded in the first inning for five runs, sparked by consecutive singles by Kyle Farley, Anthony Digneo, and Kevin Kennedy, before the runs started pouring home behind the hitting of Brandon Farley, Michael Armbruster, Ryan Buck, and Colin Koos.
It was the first time the Kids Cuts kids had to face a robot pitcher, so some of the boys struggled at the plate, but as always, it was stellar defensive play that won the game for them. Luke Majewski made two great grabs in right field, to hold A & G to only two runs in a big hitting fourth inning. Austin Charles and Luke Cooper once again came up big in the field, accounting for several outs. Jonathon Burkett gave the best performance yet behind the plate, and Travis Lindaberry was involved in several key defensive plays at third base.
But it was Colin White's play at third base in the third inning that showed just what the Kids Cuts kids can do in the field, accounting for two unassisted put outs, and preventing A & G from scoring with two runners on base.
This game's MVP goes to Colin White for his great fielding in spite of having to borrow a glove to play.
