Okulanis & Heinkle 1 hit Pemberton

Written by: Skip Rudderow

Well, the last time these two teams met, there were a lot of runs scored. We had one goal at the start of this game...10 run them. The guys met the goal and won 13-2 (depending on who book you were looking at!)
Lefty Evan Okulanis and 'only-his-right' Matt Heinkle took control of the pitching duties and only allowed one hit. At the other end of the ball was Tyler Sterner and Shocker LaPierre sharing the catching duties. Shocker also slammed a triple to right center and reached base three times. Every batter on our team reached base during the 4 1/2 inning game!
Robbie Tait also got on three times and collected a few stolen bases too. Paul Maneri reached base twice, stole a few bases and scored once. George Rudderow had a nice play at third and stole home on a close play at the plate.
Brendan Mahan showed a lot of effort on a nice pop fly early in the game at first, and Booby Schuck reached first and later scored during our 10 run first inning.
Brant Jestes got to first and stole the next three bases to score, and Scott Lattimer scored twice in the effort.

Quote of the game..."I don't recognize any of these kids, they aren't all from this team" Pemberton Mom during the game.

Good game guys.
