Kids Cuts rolled to a 14-7 victory behind some great defensive playing. Kevin Kennedy shut down the opposition with a key unassisted double play in the third inning, and Austin Charles and Luke Cooper teamed up for two quick outs in the fourth. Solid defensive play was contributed by Colin Koos at first base, Colin White at third base, Michael Armbruster at second base, and Ryan Buck at short stop.
Everyone on the team was a hitter. Two of the biggest bats were brought by the Farley brothers, hitting from opposite sides of the plate, with Brandon blasting a couple into the outfield and Kyle proving you don't need a hat to pull one deep to right. Solid contributions were given by Travis Lindaberry and Anthony Digneo at both the plate and in the field.
The winning run was driven in by Jonathan Burkett, scoring Luke Majewski , who drove in the tying run at his at bat.
Our first game's MVP award (Most Valuable Player) goes to Luke Majewski, who went 2 for 3 at the plate, drove in the tying run, and scored the winning run.
All the boys played great, showed great sportsmanship, and made everyone watching proud.
