Sander Law Firm Rolls Over Slack's Hoagies

With 9 runs in the the top of the fifth the Sander, Hannye, Carson Cardinals broke open a close game with the Slack's Hoagies Mariners and went on to win 13-6.
The first 4 innings belonged to the pitchers as Anthony Papasso of the Cardinals, Drew Haines and Mike Cogliano of the Mariners each pitched 2 strong innings. Two 11 year old Cardinals, Scott Turner and Joe Tucci, making their MYAA pitching debuts, each pitched a strong inning. The score after 4 was Mariners 4, Cardinals 2. Then in the top of the 5th the hitters took over.
While batting around plus two in the fifth inning the Sander team had six hits in the inning. Two additional runs were added in the top of the 6th. The team offensive effort was led by Chris Vaughan and Anthony Papasso who each had three hits on the day. Other Cardinals who hit safely were Steve McCollum (triple), Will Stiles (double) and Bradford Conners who reached base three times ( a single and 2 walks). Ryan Brunetti, Ryan Sander, Scott Turner, Joe Tucci And William Beighley each contributed a hit to the Sander effort.
For the Mariners Mike Cogliano stroked 3 hits in a losing cause.
