The Kids Cuts kids found their gloves in today's game, playing their best defensive game of the year.
Colin Koos, Kevin Kennedy, Luke Cooper, and Austin Charles led the way in the field, making it tough for the Kazmierski team to get much of anything going on offense. But it was Brandon Farley with the defensive play of the game, jumping up from the catcher's position, scooping up the ball, and throwing the runner out at first that got the loudest cheers from the crowd. Luke Majewski was tested several times in right field, as was Travis Lindaberry, but both got the ball in quickly to keep the runners from advancing.
Michael Armbruster again dominated at the plate, and Colin White continued his string of games with long balls hit into the outfield. Kyle Farley used his bat to advance the runners several times, and Jonathan Burkett golfed two low pitches for singles.
The team played great, both at the plate and out in the field.
Today's Golden Glove award goes to Brandon Farley for his play at catcher, and Luke Cooper for a dominate performance at first base.
Today's batting MVP goes to Jonathan Burkett for two big hits to move the runners around the bases.
