Sleepy Heads Make Home Run Dreams Come True

In a show of hitting power, the Kids Cuts kids shook off a late night out, and pounded the baseball this morning. So many batters hit for extra bases that this poor reporter had trouble keeping track.

Austin Charles hit a triple and a double, Kevin Kennedy had two long balls into the outfield, Luke Cooper found his big boom stick again, and Colin Koos jacked a couple deep. Michael Armbruster showed up a bit grumpy, and took his lack of sleep out on the ball, drilling it deep at all three at bats. Travis Lindaberry and Anthony Digneo came through at the plate with several singles, showing that the Kids Cuts kids have no holes in the batting order.

Ryan Buck was big at the plate again, and took a shot to the body, blocking a line drive to right. This reporter hopes Ryan uses his glove in self-defense the next time a line drive is hit his way. Brandon Farley played the roll of team bleeder in the first inning, but played a great game in both the field and at the plate after he was patched up. Brandon did a great job at first base. Kyle Farley continued to dominate at the plate from the left side, giving Kids Cuts a strong lefty to insert into the batting order. Kyle played great at both pitcher and first base in the field.

Kevin Kennedy had two great plays in the field, one a driving snag of a grounder, the other a leaping grab of a soft fly ball.

Todays Golden Glove MVP goes to Kevin Kennedy for great play in the field. Kevin has had several outstanding games in the field, and sets a high bar for everyone to follow in fielding excellence.

Today's batting MVP goes to Michael Armbruster, who has quietly collected several hits in every game, but has simply exploded at the plate in his last two appearances.

Lechner Funeral has one of the best group of kids playing in baseball, and Kids Cuts showed they know how to be great sports, complete gentlemen, and how to have a lot of fun playing baseball.
