Good ballgame last nite as the Braves and Marlins battled to a 7-7 finished after 6 innings of play.
The Marlins struck first scoring 4 runs in the top of the first, but the Braves countered with 4 of thier own to tie it 4 after 1. Joe Funari, Dan Torre, Mike Eckert all had hits in the inning.
The Marlins scored 3 more times in the second to up thier lead to 7-4. The Marlins played great defense making all the infield plays especially in the 3rd with runners on 2nd and 3rd and 2 outs, Max Wachman rip a ball between first and second, where the Marlins second baseman made a diving snag, got up and threw Max out at first to end the inning.
The Braves didnt quit, Jeff Casperson came on to pitch the final 3 innings and not let the Marlins increase thier lead. Jeff also had a triple knocking in a run to cut the lead to 7-5, going into the bottom of the 5th.
The Braves scratch over two more runs in the bottom of the 5th to tie it at 7-7 and that is where it ended. Great ballgame on both sides of the ball.
Ryan Pretti added a hit and walk, as the Braves bats are starting to come alive top to bottom, great job boys not giving up.
Next game Saturday at 5pm
