9-9. Bottom of the fifth and last inning. The number 8,9 and 10 hitters in the line-up due up for the Orioles.
The first batter, Tyler Adams draws a walk on a 3-2 pitch. Small ball is underway. Next, Eric Meshirer lays down a perfect sacrifice bunt. Stephen Tursi then hits a sharp grounder to short and Tyler advances to third on the throw.
The Orioles lead-off hitter, Jack August, working on a perfect night (2-2 and a walk) comes to the plate. Jack, buried in an 0-2 count beats out an infield single and the winning run scores. O's 10, Dodgers 9.
Jim Turner pitched 2 shut-out innings and stroked three hits. Jared Hendricks and Chris Sander also contributed 2 hits each to the Orioles attack.
For the Dodgers, Michael Bono had an amazing third inning during which he batted twice and stroked a home run and a triple.
Congrats to both teams for a very exciting game.
