Concession Stand Help! (The Little Red Hen)

Ladies and Gentlemen of MYAA Baseball,
We need your help in the concession stands. The concession stand is a volunteer organization run by MYAA as a way raising funds and keep registration costs down. So far this season we have had very little volunteer help. I, as commissioner have made a schedule, forwarded it to the league commissioners who have forwarded it to their coaches. So far it hasn't worked. We are asking too much of those that have agreed to help out and it is wearing them out.
Word is getting back to me that people understood the $10 concession fee was a payment against having to work in the concession stand. This is not the case. The $10 fee is a penalty served against those that do not fulfill their time.
Typically we are scheduling teams for the 45 minutes to 1 hour prior to the start of their son's game. The idea being that you can work the stand during the warm-up period prior to the start of the game. Sometimes we have to schedule them during your game, but our busiest periods is between games.
In the past their have been incentives such as forfeiture of games to get people to man the stands. I don't want to get to that, but we need everyone support if we are going to make this work. The concession stand is a great convenience that we all enjoy, but without volunteer help it can't operate. Please don't be like the Little Red Hen's Chicks - wanting to eat the cake, but not help out in making it.
