Medford 14's Win District

Zack Arsenault pitched a 7 inning complete game to lead Medford's 14U to a repeat as District Champion with a walk-off 4-3 victory over Mount Holly. Rutger Johannink bases loaded single drove in Ed King for the winning run.

The 14's went 3-0 in the tournament winning the first game agains Southampton/Indian Mills 12-5 on Friday night with Ed King the winning pitcher.

Saturday they played Mount Holly in the Winner's Bracket final where Chris Vaughan pitched 5 strong innings before being relieved by Ed King in the 6th with Medford Trailing 3-2. Ed King came onto hold Mount Holly in the 6th and 7th allowing Medford to come back with 3 runs over the last 2 innings for the victory.

Catcher Dan Pagliuso was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament for his great work behind the plate and his offensive prowess for the 14's.

Congratulations to all the guys and good luck to them in Nottingham starting July 18.
