After getting off to a slow start this season, the Exec Management team put their hats on to play Wednesday night. Kyle Popielarski made two outstanding plays at second base - both in the same inning. Then he went to center field and made a great catch on a long fly ball. Then...he stepped on the mound for three strong innings! Kyle and starting pitcher Jared Hendricks shared the mound for a great effort combining for 54 strikes! George Rudderow found his way on base four times, including a bunt single which scored Evan Okulanis (who was on base three times and scored twice!).
Alex Fournier and David Muoio reached base twice and collected a couple stolen bases. Jason Dwarnik continues to have a big bat at the plate, making solid contact three time at the plate. Julius Murphy took control behind the plate for three innings, making great stops, and also made a fantastic tag for an out at third. Wayne Wanzor showed his dedication to the team, arriving for the last couple innings after having to attend an important event earlier.
The team held a 4-4 tie going into the last inning, but Mr McGowan's team batted in a couple runs in the last inning to win the game.
Great job guys - good pitching, fielding and batting!
