After Saturday's dramatic come from behind victory, the Johnson's Farm Blue Jays bats appear to have resumed their early season nap in the Jays 8-0 pasting at the hands of the South Jersey Magazine Red Sox. The boys from Johnson's Farm had no answer for the Red Sox starting pitcher and did not fair much better until the third inning when they loaded the basis but were unable to push a run across. The Johnson's Blue Jays continue to play outstanding defense particularly in the infield, consistently getting put-outs of the lead runners with heads up play by the middle infielders, Shane Moore, Matt Klischies and Austin Kennedy. Although the scores may not reflect it, Coach Locantore is satisifed with the pitching he has been getting from Zach Amisano, Austin Kennedy and Jonathan Locantore. "We are going to continue to expand our pitching staff", said Coach Locantore who plans on auditioning several more of his players on the mound. The Jays have a week off and will resume play on Tuesday May 9.
