The BCT Red Sox tasted defeat for the first time this season losing to the Orioles 5-4 last Monday night.
The Sox fell behind 4-0 after some uncharacteristic wildness, a few fielding mistakes and some erratic umpiring before rallying to tie the score in the home fifth.
The courageous comeback began in the second inning when Sean L (1/2 2b 1R)doubled followed by singles by Chris(1/3) and Jack (1/3).
The Sox added 2 runs in the third when Luke (1/3 1R) doubled and scored on a single by Sean H (2/3 1R 1RBI)and Jeff (2/3 2RBI 2b 3b)followed with a double in the gap.
Sean L meanwhile pitched two shut-out innings in middle relief giving the Red Sox the opportunity to get the offense in gear. Aided by an unassisted double play by Scott at thirdbase.
The Red Sox completed the rally in the home fifth as Conor walked and scored on Jeff's triple. The go-ahead run was cut down at the plate as the Orioles completed a 9-6-2 relay capped by a phantom tag at home.
Having battled all the way back from a deficit of their own creation, the Red Sox aquandered the opportunity by letting the Orioles push across the winning run on a squeeze play.
