The third seeded Braves continued their hot hitting and beat the second seeded Pirates 13-6 to win the 9 and 10 year old Minor American League Championship game played last night.

The Pirates put up a great fight despite playing the game short-handed and should be congratulated on their effort.

As it was all season, it was a great team effort by the Braves. The Braves used four pitchers to hold down the mighty bats of the Pirates. Chris V., James, Michael and finally Bobby, all threw strikes and made the Pirates earn all of their runs.

The Braves offense continued to sizzle. Key hits were delivered by Matt G.,Chris V., James, Bobby, Sean and Matt R.. Michael, Alex, Ryan and Justin worked the Pirate pitchers for key base on balls to keep innings alive.

Congratulations Braves! You earned it!

Congratulations also go out to the Pirates and all the other 9 and 10 year old teams. You all played some great ball this year and you should be proud of your accomplishments.
