Pirate Pitchers Dominate Brewers

Pirate pitchers combined to limit the Brewers to just 2 hits as they fanned 15 in a 12-5 win last Tuesday.

Showing no signs of rust after a Memorial Day lay-off, the Pirates struck for 3 runs in the first on singles by Steve and Jarret. Alex, who set the table perefctly walked four times on the night and scored twice.

Jarret was 3/3 with 4 RBI and Josh homered for the second consecutive game knocking in two runs. Sean G., Philip, Sean L. and Mike added to the offense for the Pirates as they powered to their fourth straight win.

Jarret, Sean L. and Steve eached pitched two solid innings while waiting for the Pirate bats to explode.

After grabbing the early lead, the Pirates saw the Brewres chip away pulling to with one at 5-4 after the top of the fifth. The Pirates responded with a 5 run home fifth to put the game out of reach.

Philip was awarded the gameball for his outstanding hustle in beating out an RBI infield single.
